Choose Your Cabo Fishing Boat by Size
28–33 ft
Four to six guests. Half-day (4–5 hours) and inshore range (5–15 miles). Roosterfish, sierra, jack, dorado near Land's End. Lowest fishing rate on the fleet sits in this band — the 30' Lures “Baja 1” from $450.
34–45 ft
Six to ten guests. Enough deck and fuel for a mixed day: coast in the morning, a bank run if the Pacific or Cortez lays down. This is the size most families book for a full 8-hour day.
47–95 ft
Ten guests. Full-day offshore (20–35 miles). Gordo Banks (~8 miles off San José) and Golden Gate (~25 miles Pacific). San Jaime, Finger, and 1150 are named on the home and seasons pages without a mile figure. Cabins, shade, and yacht amenities on the larger hulls. Cabo fishing yachts.
Cabo Fishing Boat Rentals — What's Included
These are crewed charters, not bareboat rentals. You do not take the keys and leave the harbor. A licensed captain and deckhand run the boat from Dock A. That is what “rental” means on this page and in the search queries it answers.
Private boats include rods, reels, bait, ice, drinks, and Mexican fishing licenses in the boat price. The shared fishing tour is the exception: license is collected at the marina ($25) and already disclosed there. Crew gratuity is customary (15–20%), not an invoice line.
Gear is Penn and Shimano. Live bait is bought the morning of the trip. If you want fly gear, that is a different product — fly fishing in Cabo San Lucas.
Los Cabos Fishing Boats — Rates by Trip Length
Los Cabos fishing boats and Cabo San Lucas fishing boats are the same fleet. Hotel in San Jose del Cabo or on the corridor does not change the marina. Every boat below leaves Dock A.
- 3-hour sunset window — a separate product on the half day fishing charter page. Same marina boats, shorter clock. From $450 per boat.
- Half-day, 4–5 hours — inshore and the closer water. From $450 on the smallest fishing rate of 3 hours or longer.
- Full-day, 8 hours — the run that reaches Gordo and Golden Gate. Price is on each boat card. Do not use a 1–2 hour party rate as the fishing “from.”
Open a boat page for the exact duration prices. The number on this page is the lowest active fishing rate of 3 hours or longer across the 19 boats.
